To prepare for your meeting with a Parent/Guardian, you will need to create some notes. Follow the simple instructions below which explains how to create and add notes for all your pupils.
Video Guide
Step 1
• From the Equipple ‘Home Screen’, you want to click the tab at the top bar which says ‘Notes’.

Step 2
• You’ll be taken to your ‘Class Notes’ page which gives you an overview of your class and your children. From here, click the drop-down menu and select the Parent/Teacher meeting schedule you are preparing for. Double check your class is in the next tab.

Step 3
• Scroll down and select a child you want to begin recording notes for. A personalised dashboard will appear for that child where you can see an image of that child, their attendance percentage and a dashboard overview of their assessment data.
If any information for a child is missing, please speak to an Equipple School Admin (this will likely be a member of SLT or the Office staff).

Step 4
- Scroll down and on the right-hand side, click the button ‘+ Add Note’.

Step 5
- A ‘New Note’ tab will open automatically. Click the area of focus for that meeting you would like to record a note for. Let’s use ‘Pupil Wellbeing’ as an example.

Step 6
- When the ‘Pupil Wellbeing’ button is highlighted, begin typing your notes in the text box. You can use a range of text types, fonts and formatting options to personalise your notes by highlighting the text. After recording your notes, just click ‘Add Note’ and that will automatically save the note for that child.

Step 7
- You can then repeat the same process for each area of focus. For example, if we click on ‘+Add Note’ again and select ‘Curriculum Comments’ this time, we can then write notes relating to the curriculum.

- When you click ‘Add Note’, they will be saved and you can view them instantly as you are taken back to that child’s personalised dashboard. You will now see a holistic picture building with separate categories and accompanying notes for you to use at the Parent/Teacher meeting.
- Repeat the process for ‘Focus for Development’.
Step 8 - Want to SAVE TIME, Read below:
TIME SAVER: Once you have completed all the notes for one child, you can use that template for all the children in your class by using 'copy and paste'. You can then edit the comments to personalise for each specific pupil. This can help teachers keep a consistent, personalised and easy to read set of notes for each child.
Step 9:
- There are two more comment categories. One is 'Meeting Notes'. You do not need to prepare these notes. They are notes you record during the meeting itself.

- The other is 'Parent Comment'. You do not need to prepare these notes either. When a parent books a slot, selecting the date and time they would like to have a meeting with you, they have the choice of leaving a comment which is sent to Class Teachers in advance. This gives Class Teachers a 'heads up' with regards to anything a Parent/Guardian may want to discuss, which you now have time to prepare for.

You now know how to add notes for each child in preparation for your Parent/Teacher Meetings!
