Why Are Staff / Teacher Email Addresses Missing?

If a staff member’s email address is not listed in your Staff/Teacher list, you won’t be able to invite them to join your school’s Equipple account. But don’t worry, the fix is quick and easy! Just follow the steps below to get them set up.


The Problem

In order to invite teachers to Equipple and to create their login, they must first have an email address in the system. All teacher data is synced from your school's MIS platform (e.g. SIMS, Bromcom etc). This means that if an email address is missing, it is likely to be missing from the source system (e.g. SIMS, Bromcom etc)


The Solution - Update the email addresses at source

  • Equipple syncs with your MIS platform (e.g. SIMS, Bromcom etc.).
  • Login to your MIS platform, and find the 'work email' field for staff / employees. 
  • This is the field that is syncing with Equipple.
  • Simply add the teacher's work email address here, and this will pull through automatically to Equipple.


Note: Equipple looks for updates in your MIS platform every night. So please allow up to 24 hours before changes are reflected in Equipple.



When the sync is complete and the staff email address now shows up in the 'Teachers' section of your 'Settings', simply invite that teacher in the same way you have done for the rest of your staff. For instructions on 'how to invite teachers to Equipple', click here.
